The ATL ACS-2640 library, door open
A modified binpack with an LTO tape on top, and DLTs below. The tab
visible near the front of the LTO tape was bent out to accomodate the tape.
Shimmed gripper, to allow it to grab LTO media. The cardboard and
packing tape were used to test the concept; once I have some time, I'll
manufacture proper shims for the gripper.
Below are some movies I took of the tape library moving the tape around. Click on the thumbnail to watch the movie.
Inserting the tape into a drive. Yes, the drive isn't really mounted
yet. You can hear me laughing in the background from my success.
